Using Food as a Weapon: US Sanctions Are a Crime

July 13 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Tucson Anti War Committee presents:

A community teach-in with a keynote from Dan Kovalik and Panel discussion about food as a weapon.

The US effort to overthrow the democratically elected government of Venezuela is, of course, not the first time food has been used as a weapon against people of color, including the indigenous peoples of North America and Palestinians in Palestine. We are honored that representatives of Alianza Indigena Sin Fronteras (Indigenous Alliance Without Borders) and Arizona Palestine Solidarity Alliance will also give presentations. We invite your organization to co-sponsor this event. Endorsing groups are entitled to table during the teach-in. There is no cost to endorsement, although a donation toward Dan’s travel costs would be helpful. We only ask that you publicize it to your base.

The teach-in will be at the main downtown library in the lower level conference room from 1-4:30pm.
