Understanding the Blockchain & Privacy
December 5, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
“Today people everywhere are trying to understand the implications of a protocol that enables mere mortals to manufacture trust through clever code. This has never happened before—trusted transactions directly between two or more parties, authenticated by mass collaboration and powered by collective self-interests, rather than by large corporations motivated by profit.”
In this workshop, we will delve into the importance of the blockchain and internet privacy such as TorBrowsers and Private VPNs and its future impacts on our global political ecosystem and the infrastructure of the financial sector as well as the massive change it will have on our daily lives in the not so distant future.
We will examine the difference between the major cryptocurrencies the run off the blockchain (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecion, etc.) As well as an number of growing and profitable “Alt coins” which are emerging in the markets as well as how to invest, exchange and store your own cryptocurrencies.
