Storytellers Project: Here and There – Phoenix

September 12, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

“Here and There” is a live storytelling event all about intimacy and authenticity, showing the human side of what is happening at the border, and an extension of The Storytellers Project.

This event will highlight stories from people in Phoenix with compelling insights into the region’s relationship to the border and Mexico, but also into what everyday life is like here in Arizona and what it means to be from “there.”

These are the unexpected stories – some charming, some harrowing, some funny – from Arizona who have insights the rest of America should hear so we can all better understand what is at stake in this conversation around border wall construction.

Megan Finnerty, founder of The Storytellers Project
Daniel Gonzalez, border issues reporter at The Arizona Republic

Laura Gomez-Rodriguez, reporter at The Arizona Republic
James Garcia, founder and producing artistic director of New Carpa Theater
Robin Reinke, co-founder and executive director of Colibri Center for Human Rights
Rafael Carranza, border reporter for The Arizona Republic
Robert White, retired Army Colonel
