LD23 Hike of the Month (#2)

HAVE FUN WITH FELLOW DEMS WHILE GETTING FIT FOR THE 2018 CAMPAIGN!!!
JOIN US FOR OUR SECOND LD23 HIKE OF THE MONTH: SUNDAY, APRIL 15 , 2018. MEET AT 7:30AM IN THE PARKING LOT AT BROWN’S RANCH TRAILHEAD. HIKE BEGINS AT 8:00AM SHARP.
HIKE LEADER: BELLA HIBBS – LD23 SOCIAL AND EVENTS COMMITTEE
HIKE DESCRIPTION: The hike will begin at Brown’s Ranch Trailhead in the wonderful McDowell Sonoran Preserve. We will begin our hike at 8:00 AM sharp. It’s an easy 2-mile walk over relatively flat terrain (less than 100 ft elevation gain/loss). The hike will take us through scenic desert bajada with trees, saguaro and other cacti and desert shrubs. A wide variety of birds and other desert life may be seen along this hike that also provides great, wide-open views of the area. It should take no more than 45 to 60 minutes to complete.
BRING WATER, SUNSCREEN, HAT AND COMFY HIKING SHOES. THE TOTAL HIKING DISTANCE IS 2.0 MILES.
DIRECTIONS AND MEETING LOCATION: We will meet in the parking lot at Brown’s Ranch Trailhead which is located north of the intersection of Dynamite and Alma School, at 30301 N Alma School Parkway, Scottsdale 85262. LOOK FOR THE LD 23 GROUP IN THE PARKING LOT LEADING TO THE TRAILHEAD. WE WILL HAVE A SIGN SO YOU KNOW WHERE TO FIND US!
IF YOU CAN’T JOIN US THIS TIME, WE WILL BE DOING THIS EVERY MONTH, ALL YEAR! Here’s a tentative list of future hikes:
May 12th 7am -Sunrise Trail Fountain Hills
June 9th 6am – Tom’s Thumb Trailhead
July 15th 5:30am – Gateway Loop
We are open to suggestions and can change the trails if you know of better hikes/trails 🙂
