2019 Stand Against Racism Campaign

The YWCA of Metropolitan Phoenix is honored to host Alejandra Castillo, CEO of the YWCA USA to kick off our 2019 Stand Against Racism Program. Alejandra will share highlights of the great work that is being accomplished by YWCA organizations across the country. Today, over 160,000 community members participate in YWCA racial justice programs nationwide. We invite you to join us to learn more about the Metropolitan Phoenix YWCA 2019 Stand Against Racism.

Now leading a network of 210 YW associations serving 2.2 million women and girls in 46 states and the District of Columbia, Alejandra has worked in DC for more than two decades, under two Presidential administrations. She was appointed by the Obama administration as the National Director of the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), becoming the first Hispanic-American woman to lead the agency, securing financing and capital in excess of $19 billion and creating / retaining over 33,000 jobs.
